Re: Dimly lit State of Charge meter
I don't see a diode in the F/R diagram. The picture in the parts manual shows a spring that might be confused for a diode. There isn't even a diode on the solenoid on a DCS cart, only a resistor. Wish I had another DCS cart with a SOC meter, or a member with the same cart, to verify that the only way to kill the power completely is to put the cart in Tow.

Re: Dimly lit State of Charge meter
What I was looking at was the diagram in the Sticky-DCS-Troubleshooting. In the F/R switch it shows a diode symbol labeled "REVERSE DIODE".

Re: Dimly lit State of Charge meter
Ok, I see the diode in the Sticky. Interesting that it isn't in the parts manual at all and that the solenoid has a resistor but no diode.

Re: Dimly lit State of Charge meter
So, at this point I have everything put back together, drive the cart outside and turn the key off. I come back a few minutes later because it had started to rain and the cart won't go. I push the cart inside. This must be the intermittent running problem that I mentioned in the original post. I checked all the wiring and connections, still won't go, push it outside so I can get my tractor out. About an hour later I get on the cart to bring it back inside and it runs. Drove it around for ten minutes and called it a night. What do i look for next? A controller wouldn't work intermittently, would it? Don't they just fail altogether?
