You own a 1996 E-Z-Go TXT Series/Fleet 36v Electric cart. It has a series wound 2hp motor. It is a great candidate for a buildup, and can be done in stages to spread the expense over a few seasons if you like.

Apparently my dad (who I inherited it from) already started. It has a 4hp GE motor and the controller looks new. I plan on building this thing up (much to the dismay of my wife). I'm just trying to figure everything out first. You have been a great help.

Does the cart have a "Freedom" sticker on the rear body?

The more lead in the sled, the farther it will go between charges.

I'm not a lifted cart guy, so I won't comment. Others are way more capable in that area.

Got any pix of the motor/controller setup?
