Club Car Precedent ERIC Charger
Hi has anyone mounted the ERIC charger to the back of their golf cart? Bypassing the front receptacle? I’ve seen several carts down here in Florida with the charger on the back of the motor cover. I’m guessing they are wiring it somewhere. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Re: Club Car Precedent ERIC Charger
I had one that was mounted back there and they cut the plug off the charger and wired it to the wires that run to the back side of the charging receptacle.

I believe you have to make a change to the program to make it On-Board (permanently wired) versus off-board.

Re: Club Car Precedent ERIC Charger
You can mount it on-board, but you need a 110v AC relay to break the DC side when the AC cord is unplugged.
If the charger does not sense a disconnect from the pack, it will not start a new charge cycle the next time you plug it in. The standard off-board version can not be programmed to be used as an on-board. The relay is a work-around The On-board version almost a totally different charger. |

Re: Club Car Precedent ERIC Charger
You wire the relay coil in parallel with the charger 120vAC input wires wherever is convenient.
The charger positive output goes through the relay contacts so it is only connected to pack positive when the charger is plugged to AC. If You get a SPDT relay, you can also use the N.C. relay contacts to power the Controller interlock that the ERIC or OBC used to control. That connection will depend exactly which cart you are installing, for a cart that has the White Curtis Controller (OEM for Eric), just cut the Blue wire near Controller Pin #5 and wire the "Optional Interlock Wire" shown in the diagram to the cut wire that goes to Controller Pin #5. Here is a example of a 120Vac SPDT 30 amp relay: https://www.amazon.com/Zettler-Minia...SC8/ref=sr_1_4 |

Re: Club Car Precedent ERIC Charger
Thanks for the info. I appreciate it. Yes I have the white 1515 Curtis controller but I’m installing a navitas 600 amp this weekend
