Default Mind of it's own

So I upgraded my 1990 marathon with a new alltrax controller and new torque/speed motor. The problem: The cart will take off on it's own. I have tried to adjust the programming on the controller but to no avail. I figure it's an over voltage problem. Any suggestions?

Have you checked the micros, keyswitch, and the solenoid?

What PGGROVES said and have you rechecked the wiring? You should be able to find a schematic in the Stickies at the top of the page.

Thanks, I've rechecked the wiring, replaced the solenoid. But it all started shortly after I upgraded everything. The keyswitch is still original. I'll look in to that... again, thanks.

Does it stop if you disconnect the trigger wire from the solenoid to the controller.? It sounds like the throttle reostat is either bad or engaged partially. If it goes with all the small wires disconnected from the controller there may be a issue with the controller. The controller should work fine just the way it comes out of the box.
