Re: Considering a 1,000cc Goldwing into a Yamaha G2
Here's Harleys answer to my question. This is a nice system. Lightweight and some have reverse. All have differential. Belt drive. Moser builds these axle assemblies.
This is similar to the Suzuki 'busa minicar (fun toy!) rear axle assembly. They'll handle couple hundred Hp and have reverse. These are chain drive. |

Forgot the pic. Pic won't load. Oh well. Google Harley trike rear and it'll show.
Figured it out. Convert ".jpeg" to "jpg"..cool...I think? These axles have swing arms and could easily be fabbed into a cart. The belt is a great drive system. Desert racers also have some nice chain drive with reverse. The 'Wing motor would need the Jap shaft drive (Ford) rear diff. |

Last one. Promise. Envision this powertrain in a golf cart. Suzuki Hayabusa 1300 and chain rear axle with reverse. A 'busa motor isn't huge. Rifter would enjoy this. These things are FAST!

I did watch a bunch of videos of the Smart car/busa and it is impressive, probably too much fun.

Probably a bit off topic, but 'busa powered smart cars are like drag racers. A
lot of expense for a tiny bit of extreme fun. They are quite expensive to build and self destruct on a regular schedule. |

Now I know what to do with the GoldWing.
Lease a hangar, check the weather, get a runway assignment, file the flight plan. Bring extra life jackets and certified ‘chute. |
