99 club car that doesn't go all the time

the wire going thru the OBC functions like an AMPBROBE measuring units of electric used up from the batteries....it's then regulates your charger for correct replenishment of the batteries.

also one of the reasons club car recommentds that you always finish charging before disconnecting the charger.

with me that not always possible as i dn't believe in letting my batteries drop
( on a regular basis ) less than 50% charge....so on occasion i have to perform a RESET on the OBC

FB, Are you saying I have to discharge batteries below 50% so the OBC will function correctly? I have never done that and my batteries charge to 51.0 volts (rested) after every charge. I thought the OBC can sense the condition (voltage) of the pack via the cable running through it.

no...you really should not let them drop below 50% that's when sulfanation begins.....

i plug in when i drop to about 25-40% and i'm back at my trailer (campground) but then i may take off in just one hour for another run somewhere.... over time the obc may get confused ( little man inside thinking) and may not turn on (been there done that ) or may not charge enough....

this is most likely NOT a common problem..but i have had the need to reset the obc...2 times this summer when the charging would not begin and i was away from the campground for a whole week.....
