Battery Light on 08 Precedent

Just got my precedent delivered with its new batteries Trogan 1275 12 V ( 4 )

I was told that the batteries were fully charged, I drove the cart for 5 minutes and the orange light came on and off a few times, is this normal ? Maybe with new batteries ?/


The delivery guy forgot my charger ( uugghhh ) he is bringing it tomorrow, I rode the cart for a half hour on my yard ( no hills ) and was unable to put it on a charger, is this bad.

Do not drive it too much til you get a good charge on it but I would say that is normal as it sounds like your OBC is learning the new bats.

Can I use the wires that control the orange battery indicator light to power a voltage meter ?

Your cart should have a wire behind the dash that was already prewired for a meter, at least that is what others have said, personally I have not pulled the dash to look, mine is an 08 also.

this wire you speak of, is it different than the battery light I am describing, can anyone confirm this wire and recommend a meter ?

Look at the post from Erict labeled 'scottyb's meter install on my prcedent'. It has plenty of pics from Erict and myself. It was last updated on 8/30/12 about 7 pages down. There is a 48 volt wire pair sitting right there for the picking. Next time I have my dash off, I will look/meter for a 12 volt pair that others have talked about.

There is only like 3 or 4 screws to pull the dash, just go unscrew and look
