Heavy Duty leaf Springs EzGo
Bought a 1999 EZ Gas cart with 6 in lift . They used the stock rear leaf springs , the cart flexxes really bad . Its dangerous ! I bought 2 ez go heavy duty leaf springs . Have not put on yet , is it going to raise my cart more ? I do not want cart any higher !! It has back seat kit , so I do not want it higher . Also it fits inside my enclosed trailer , but it touches the lights on the ceiling of trailer so I can not go higher . I think its a 4 or 5 leaf pack ( the one with the chrome band on each end ) I am thinking of taking them back to local dealer , and buying a smaller leaf pack . Any info on what I should do ? The stock leafs are trashed , from years of hauling around extra weight on the rear . Should I buy 2 new stock , or try to find 2 leaf springs not as heavy duty ? I want cart to stop flexxing so bad, but I just can not go HIGHER !!!!

I think you answered your own question, your stock springs are week, any new spring will make your cart higher, the only thing you can do is try them, ask the people you bought them from if its ok to try them and return them if they are too high

Re: Heavy Duty leaf Springs EzGo
The heavy-duty is definitely a better choice with the rear-seat,but it will raise the rear as well.Stock springs that are brand-new will be better than your old ones, but will likely raise the cart as well.Another alternative is take your original springs to a spring-shop and have them reworked. They can either add a leaf and de-arch them to maintain the stock height,or replace the leafs with heavier-guage steel and set the arch as needed.I work for a spring-shop,this is everyday stuff, not hard to do,and relatively inexpensive. You can also lower the top a little,or make quick-disconnects for it.Look it up,a few posts have been done on this for the same reasons.Hope this helps.

Re: Heavy Duty leaf Springs EzGo
Pic of cart the day I bought it $500.00 !! I took the heavy duty springs back , and I just ordered a medium pack with bushing kit for $103.00 to door . The medium pack is 100 lbs per side better than stock , with out the harsh ride like the heavy duty ones . I also bought the ISO mount bushings for rear axle . I got the front end all reworked with just new bushings ( $30.00 ) . Now for about $150.00 the rear should be all tight again . Cart is really loose , its getting better the more I work on it . I can not wait to get it all back together with new rear end parts !!! |

I also bought the heavy duty springs but took them back. It was like riding a skateboard with them on.

Re: Heavy Duty leaf Springs EzGo
Heavy duty springs for EZGO golf carts. These springs are 100lbs stronger per leaf than the original springs. They will add additional capacity without the "Harsh Ride" you get with other HD springs. Replace those old saggy springs with these 2 leaf springs. This kit comes complete with 2 new springs and 4 new bushings. This item qualifies for free ground shipping to the lower 48 states
*Free Shipping* No harsh ride 1994 and Up TXT Gas and Electric Excellent for carts with rear seat Offroad carts and utility uses Replaces saggy OEM springs These should be in this week , I also bought the ISO bushing that supports the axle . |

Re: Heavy Duty leaf Springs EzGo
Well disappointed in the medium spring kit , I also replaced the iso bushing on axle . Cart is tighter , but still lots of flex ? Might be normal for spring over kit ? I was going to try the heavy duty kit ( still have to take Back) but they did not even fit , to long ???? So I just used the medium single spring . Better but not happy
