I got a chance to play with the cart a little today. Even in the condition it's in, i'm pretty happy with the purchase. It's pretty quick, I'm pushing 275lbs and my neighbor is about the same. With both of us on the cart on a stretch of road it topped out roughly at 34mph and that's with the air filter not connected, bad connections, accelerator cable rigged up and all. It's definitely going to take some work but I think it will be a good little cart. I put it to work today hauling bags of dog food to the front of the property for another local dog rescue to come pick up, it didn't hesitate a bit. The cart didn't want to go into reverse at all but I figured out that if I leave the shifter in first gear and raise the RPMs a little, I can get the the reverse into gear but I still need to find a stiffer linkage due to the current one bending when trying to engage. I also figured out why the brakes aren't working, the linkage they have on it only moves about 1/8" even with the brake pedal all the way to the floor.

Forgot to mention that this thing does donuts like no tomorrow. I had all the neighbors wanting to ride just so I would do donuts our on gravel road.

PBJ if i remember correctly the 250 timber wolf was a pill to get in reverse from the factory. Nice buy,..i'm gathering parts now for a build like this. I'm a low budjet builder. Got a ezgo for $0 just gas money to go get it.

Thanks for the heads up. It's been going into reverse with a little extra nudge now when I keep it in first gear. I was putting the shifter in neutral and trying to moving the reverse shifter and it just wasn't working.

Looking forward to seeing your build, that's a pretty good score for a free cart, you're ahead of the game already.

The motor seems pretty strong, but it looks to need a little TLC lol. All of the issues I see are because whoever built it used what ever they had laying around, for instance, the zip ties holding the pos/neg cables to the battery posts

I doubt it will be doing donuts for long, i'm already looking at lifts that will fit the 25" tires I have sitting in the shop. I'm hoping I can get rid of it pretty fast. It's fun to drive (and maybe i'm just getting old) but it's loud and i'm pretty stuck on the EZGO MPT look for my personal carts.

I agree my dad has two Yamaha Big bears and you almost have to rock it back and forth to get it in to reverse sometimes

I tried rocking it today and it went into gear. Also, went for a run to the corner store and it hit 36 mph. Still haven't done any work to it yet.
