Allied (6)-72v batts, bms shutdown problem
My Setup: 2019 tempo with Navitas ac conversion kit-72v 600amp controller and 5kw motor, 72v Albright SW180 Style Main Contactor with Coil Suppression Diode 3 Amp and Pre-charge Resistor 1K Ohm, (6) 72v allied lithium batteries, EWCS 2 Gauge Premium Extra Flexible Welding Cable 600 Volt all cables from motor to the controller from the controller to batts and solenoid and all batts, Allied Lithium 72V to 12V Step-Down Voltage Converter - 30 Amp Max, 6 to 1 gears, 12" rims, 18" steel belted-radial-directional tires, Jakes 3" spindle lift kit and hydraulic disk front brakes and mechanical rear disc brakes.
My problem: Everything is virtually brand new. The BMS is shutting down at low speed, just cruising along at 20 mph. I had 6 successful runs hitting 50 mph with no problems, then I adjusted two settings, throttle ramp-up rate, and max rpm, and both were set to the max. That is when my problems began. On the next test run the BMS shut down after 7 or 8 blocks hitting it pretty hard. After I reset the BMS I adjusted the settings back to what they were when I did not have any issues and now it shut off after a very tame test run. My setup should not be doing this. Does anyone have any ideas? |
