I went with a generic version of what looks to be like what Allied and Eco sell. It's been great so far for our cart and at the time was considerably less expensive. But now the Renogy 500a is on sale and looks like it's only like $30 more than this one so I'm not sure what to tell you.....

This is where a bluetooth bms app capable battery is invaluable. I have a cheap meter now https://www.ebay.com/itm/265643697888?var=565431890126 it works great but I dont have my lithium pack built and installed yet...

I have this on my way to manage my DIY battery.

Those of you that have given a thumbs up for the Renogy meter, where are you mounting it? It looks like it would be a tight fit on the dash panel.
Thanks

An app is no replacement for a dash mounted meter. You really need to have access to your fuel gauge at all times.

Also, every BMS I have used, be it JBD, Daly or any of their variants don’t measure low currents correctly. From memory, Daly disregards currents below 1A and JBD and variants don’t measure below about 400mA.

The Renogy 500A will measure down to 10mA.

Here’s mine mounted in a custom Club Car Precedent dash.

Cheers Pat.

Fair enough I did opt for the lcd display that communicated with the bms to mount in my cart. It honestly seems like most of these digital battery gauges run on programmable software/firmware of their own to derive battery levels. I guess ill see how this works and add yet another gauge if needed but I think it gets complicated on my cart with the solar panel roof constantly charging as well.

Nevermind, A little research, and I found the answer. But for anybody interested I asked Pat911 why the voltage on his gauge was reading 54V but only had a 52% SOC.
