Scored some rust primer, $4/can at Home depot.

Supposedly you can just paint over the rust, I plan to wirebrush most off first, cover with anti-rust, then cover that with flat black.

I'm having trouble finding a replacement rear leaf spring. The one I need is 36" and the EZGO and Club Car springs are 32" or less. Same with the leaf springs for a trailer, all too short. Tampa springs say they can make me one for about $100-$150.

I'm thinking that I will cut the spring mounts off, put a cross bar, and then put new mounts on a few inches back on the cross bar so two new cheap springs will fit.

As long as I'm buying new springs I'm going to get the 5 leaf springs so I can add a rear seat or maybe limo mod.

Not rusted through

Rusted through, So I cut it off

Mount point cut, and bottom power-brushed

Used my Dremel Tool to Cut these off because these was no room for my 4" grinder wheel.

Used the wire wheel brush on my 4" grinder to strip this

Power Wire brushed the entire bottom.

Closeup of front power-wired....man that $20 tool does one hella job

Used some Jassco Rust primer-prep. It turns the Iron Oxide(Rust) into Iron-manganese or something. You slop it on, then overnight rust is gone.

Pull off tire to make room

Cut this off

Now I need to cut these off.
