Re: motor rebuild
im not sure what im doing wrong here but its definitely something. i put the puller tool on and cranked it and cranked it and eventually splintered the casing instead of popping out the armature. it was just a little splinter so i think it will be fine, but i dont know what to do from here. my local golf cart mechanics dont fix motors they just replace them and i dont have 700 bucks laying around

Re: motor rebuild
Have you called to see if one of them has an old motor that they wouldn't mind parting ways with? At least the casing then you could beat the carp out of yours to get the armature out and it wouldn't matter. PeachTree City Golf Cars is a Columbia dealer.

How's it going? Were you able to get anything apart?

I'm just going to take it somewhere. I don't want to do any real damage to it as its my main transportation.

Re: motor rebuild
I've never seen one in that bad. How about a auto parts store or maching shop with a bench press to press it out?

I don't think there's any parts store around here with a press. So there isn't anything under the cap that needs taken out first?

Re: motor rebuild
no, you just have to make sure when it's upside down, that you're propped up in the air with two 2x4 pieces only under the casing, and the armature is not blocked from falling between them.
