Default 2003 G22a Electrical Question

I installed a light kit two months ago, grounded to frame under dash below key switch, positive side fused to brown wire on key switch so lights only turn on if key is on, everything has been working fine.

Recently I've read some posts stating not to ground to frame but directly to battery negative on Yamaha carts, so should I change wiring or is this ok?

The wiring diagram for my 03 G22a shows several things attached to body ground

Default Re: 2003 G22a Electrical Question

I just installed a light kit on my 2000 G16.

I first installed a fuse panel with grounds in the left glove box/cubby bin...with both leads going to the battery. Now, I wire everything from there.

What I've read is that the factory installed fuse will blow if too much is connected to a chassis ground.
