Default Tomberlin non lighted dash board fix

I thought I should make this a separate thread.

Ok, just took my dash switches out, 4 screws. At the bottom of the switch there is two prongs + - They are separate from the area were the carts controls plug in. I unplugged the switch and took a 9v battery and the LED in the switch lights right up. I can thank of no reason why they did not wire this in. Maybe the wanted to market as a upgrade. It appears to me that all you need to do is to get push on 12v connectors, chain the positive and negative together and find a switchable 12 v power supply.
When I wire mine I will give an update

Do you know if this "fix" specific to 2010 models only?

I am very excited about this. The accessory outlet is a switched power source. Had to run down and check this out. This is a great way to have them on/off with key. Another easy way might be through the headlights, they are 12v too. Note----I am talking 2010 model.

Not sure, does your non 2010 switches have green or red plastic lens on the bottom of the switch? If so I am sure they have a light in them. No reason to have a colored lens unless they have light in them.

You will want to go to accessories, not head lights. That is part of the problem finding the switch to turn on the head lights.

Just thought of something my title should have read " Tomberlin non, lighted, LIGHTED dash board fix..
I am going to ask my dealership to ask Tomberlin why the did not wire this.

That is great point. The issue is groping for the headlight switch. I am going to do it though the accessory plug. I seem to be able to find the key hole. If this is still a burden then will do the simple push button switch to turn on off.

Perhaps you can tie into the headlight circuit?
