Strange carb issue
ok so I"m almost finished with my Vanny 18hp install in my ezgo marathon. and I noticed that there was no pulse line in the valve cover so I fugured the engine was originally gravity feed. no biggie just a different needle and seat. I get it running and fuel starts poring out the top of the carb so again I figure well the float must be stuck so i pull the top off the carb and there is no float or needle and seat? there is however a large inlet tube on the side of the carb that goes directly into the center bore of the carb, i'm thinking maybe it's some kind of propane engine or something. does anyone know how to tell the difference?
Need some help on this one, can I epoxy the hole and remove the tube (and plug it) then install a needle and seat/float assy? what do you guys think? |

Re: Strange carb issue
I'm no expert but that is not a standard Vanny gas carb... I think you are right, looks like somethin for propane. Nubs will be along shortly to help you out....I do think you need to go look for regular carb, heck, that may be worth somethin??

Re: Strange carb issue
if you find the parts you can convert it, but getting the right carb is cheaper and easier.
