Guys, this type is the same ignitor I use to test ignitors on carts.
I have two alligator clips on one that I test with.
They are found on most any weedeater like the Echo brand mounted on the side of the flywheel housing.
Also they are sold as a kit for lawn mowers to convert points style ignition systems.

TIP: If you yard or garage sale, look for them on old weedeaters that you can pick up for $5.00

Wow, this is an eye opener. I have 2 CC - DS models 2006. Compression is 125 in each, batteries good and charging systems work. They have Kawasaki engines. They are strictly used on golf course, so a lot of starting and stopping, off time, etc. Seems they become VERY hard, if not impossible to start. Do you think this (ignitor) could be my problem as well? Oh, and if they sit for a day, they'll start right up, but I hate to send them out only to be towed back.
Yes, this is my 1st post to ask a question, but I am learning much from all who reply.....Thanks!
Oh, btw, where is this thing located???

I have a 93 gas Club Car. I have spark sometimes when I go to start it and sometimes I don't. I just changed the coil and ignitor and it worked for a couple days and then I went out tonight and once again no spark. I've read some posts about the rpm limiter, would this cause no spark? Is there a way to test it? Thanks

OK, It was over a year, but the answer should still be the same.
Yes, the RPM limiter switch can and probably IS the cause of the hard starts.
The Coil was a good 1st guess, and for the same price, (or near) the RPM limiter is your answer. Plus a lot easier to install.
Hopefully, you have eliminated the solinoid, because the engine is turning over.
I recommend my friend Roger at
jrhrestoration@yahoo.com.
He has provided me with quality parts at fair prices.

Thanks I will try that next. It does turn over everytime, so i assume the solenoid is ok. I will reply with my results. Thanks for the quick reply.
