Yeah I'm thinking about putting a slight hold on the project and going back and putting 4 link suspension on the back. I have been researching a lot on the shocks and have got in contact with a guy that can do a load test on the finished cart and will make the coil over shock specifically for the cart with two people on it. I really hope I am going down the right road with this. I will update when I get to that point.

Re: Long Travel lift front & rear, Lithium powered TXT build
Please put me in touch with "Your Guy", my only holdup is the shocks, and everything I have found so far that will work is very expensive.
Thanks Rob |

If you hold off on your suspension project till later this year you will be able to buy it from Jakes, they are suppose to be coming out with a rear Long Travel kit for the electric txts. The shocks for that kit will be available sometime this summer with a coil rated at 182lbs/in

Re: Long Travel lift front & rear, Lithium powered TXT build
BTW I did not see what the Dip camo job cost if you don't mind... It looks awesome!
80 miles sound like your grail now! Have you ever seen how much top end is? Don't know if I want to go much over 35 in a short wb cart.... but I'm old and have had my speed fun for years.... Also would you build any other brand and why or why not....? |

Re: Long Travel lift front & rear, Lithium powered TXT build
I believe the high gloss camo dipped body was over $600 with exchange. It is $400 without the high gloss finish but it looks completely different, very flat.
I've only built one cart for top speed. It hit 40 mph and wasn't lifted. I am very particular on motor selections and if I lift a cart then it gets an appropriate motor. Nothing worse just slapping on a motor not matched to the cart. I have built CC's, ezgo's and a yamaha. I know this is ezgo forum but the yamaha g29 is a much better cart. |
