Well I'm not going to start a thread on the gasser, but it turns out it's a 1972 model D. It's complete, and it cleaned up pretty nice. I really love the look of these old Harleys.

I don't feel like putting the time/money into it, so I'm going to pass it on to someone looking for a project.

It did clean up pretty nicely, but it certainly needs some TLC. I actually sold it to a gentleman this evening who had been looking for a Harley for a while. Mine was in his price range. It was a win-win.

I found some time this afternoon, so I made some decent progress on the canopy. I completely disassembled the frame, and wire wheeled everything, getting it down to the bare metal. Then I alcohol swabbed it all, in preparation for primer. I turned my garage into a makeshift paint booth, and was able to get down the primer base coat. Next will be two coats of gloss white.

Once I get it painted, I will reassemble it all with new SS hardware and install it on the cart. This is getting exciting...

I got it all bolted up this afternoon. I still have to touch up the paint in a few places. I'm going to have a new cloth made for it, as the one that I have is torn in the back and has shrunk over the years, making it hard to stretch over the supports. Overall I'm very pleased, and I like the new look with the canopy.
