LV tong carts are not DC motors either. Comparing apples to oranges.

I was hoping someone else has already done this for me! :D

I actually bought a connector that will (fingers crossed) mate to this unused connector that I'm hoping to repurpose for a speed switch.

Pin 1 blu/blk to pin 35 of controller
Pin 2 red/wht to pin 32 of controller. This appears to be a pin used as the common for digital inputs.
Pin 3 lt blu 12V +
Pin 4 blk 12V -

I'm pretty sure the newer 2022 lvtong/icon controllers only have 23 pin connectors.

The new Lvtong controller uses a 35pin connector. If you’re trying to add the speed switch to the controller you need to add a wire to pin #2 to a toggle switch- Josh (__JAG__) has done this modification on his vehicle with the Lvtong controller and has confirmed it works. You need to go into the controller programming and enable the low speed mode/input and the also configure the set points for low speed (forward & reverse)

If you ordered the mating connector for this 4 pin connector, I would connect wires from pin #1 and #2 of the connector to your toggle switch/and latching relay circuit. Relocate the wire #35 of the main harness to position #2. So now you’re using the wires from pin#2 and pin #32 of the controller. Pin #32 should be +12vdc. Pin 35 appears to be for a fan for the controller that is not used.

Again once this is added it still will not work until you enable the input in the software. 03.03.02 will need to be changed from “0” to “1”.

This thread began as a solenoid connection. I attempted to answer the question and another post laid out exactly what to do to get the answer.

Since then the thread has morphed into a dialogue of what this or that wire does.

I’m bowing out of any future responses as I can contribute nothing further.
