2022 Liberty - Spec Horsepower versus Actual
Hoping someone here can explain motor kW numbers and why ezgo would advertise something different from whats listed on the motor. I purchased a 2022 liberty last week. The website shows the horsepower being at 11.7hp / 8.7kW. When I look at the motor, it says 3.3kW. I thought maybe the 8.7 number is peak, but the specs don't say peak. Other vehicles, like the S6 do actually say "peak".
So, why is the number on the motor not matching the website specs? Is this just an omission of the word "peak". Is the motor rated for 3.3 kW and we're just driving more current through it than its nominally rated for? |
