Converting PDS to Series
I tried the search function and didn't see anything. I got a cart for free, and I'm wondering if it would be easier to go series vs pds
Cons: rear passenger shaft missing Motor is gone Batteries are gone Pro: FREE I have a spare factory series motor Can the series motor bolt to a pds axle? Any suggestions would be great! |

Re: Converting PDS to Series
Yes the motor will bolt up but you will need additional parts for series drive system. Mainly F&R switching is manual in a series cart and controller controlled in PDS. Both carts have their benefits. What's your intended use and budget for the project?

6-10" lift, 23" tires, radio, light bar, neighborhood driving with hilly situations.

geeeeeeeez.....10" I'm running 23's with a 6" lift.....and wish I had a 4". actually have to much clearance for my liking. but hey.....when I bought my cart is already had that loft and the wheels/tires on it.

I've got two carts with 6" and there not enough. I may not go that big, I just want to see the benefits of PDS, which is what the cart is now, vs a series, what I'm used too

Re: Converting PDS to Series
The series drive system is your better choice for big tires and off road use just because the motor produces consistent torque throughout the rpm range while making less unwanted heat.
PDS is a better people mover street cart |

Re: Converting PDS to Series
A lift only lifts to body, not the wheels/differential. bigger tires only lift the cart.
