CarryAll Ignition 350 no fire key start

Merry Christmas to All,

Still battling a 1994 Carry All VI with a kawasaki Fe350 CCW motor. This unit is a key start, which works. The problem arises when I step on the accelerator after the motor has started. The engine dies and has no spark.

I can hand move the accelerator at the carb while in crank mode and engine revs fine to the point where the rev limiter kicks in. However if I step on the accelerator pedal at this point the motor just dies and the starter stops. I don't know enough about the start sequence to dig in. Any suggestions?

• Key-start vehicle: When the switch is in the MAINTENANCE position, it will allow the technician to run the engine in FORWARD, REVERSE, or NEUTRAL for certain maintenance and/or repair functions.
However, if the Forward/Reverse handle is in either the FORWARD or REVERSE position and the accelerator pedal is pressed, the engine will stop running.
