Default 48 Volt EZGO RXV Lurches then Beeps

My 48 Volt RXV will not move. It lurches when key is turned on to any position and then begins beeping until the key is turned off. We have recently replaced the rear hubs and have new batteries installed. I believe it is a 2012.

Thank you,

I had that replaced once, but that time it locked up completely and tires wouldn't rotate. Did it lock up open this time?

Lurch then beep is totally motor brake fail. That's such an extreme fail, it's just about as bad as if the brake weren't even in place during the test. (I'm sure you didnt do that to us, right?). I have seen motor brake disc shattered into 7-10 pieces when abused.

like what CGtech stated, the friction disc is damaged. as a result the cart can free wheel. you may want to block the wheels if its not on flat ground.
