Default No "creep" mode. . . HELP!

After installing new carb(not needed) and most important, a new coil, my Club Car at least now "runs". But, not well. Lost creep mode. Whenever I try to go slow, just creep along, the engine kills. I press on the gas again and it lurches forward so a really jerky, stop / go movement. Pretty tough way to drive!
Wondering where to look first? Did the failing coil do something to wreck the starter / generator or is there some odd thing happening where I just need to adjust the new carb for low speed?

On the carb: I thought replacing that would fix the "no go" problem before figuring out the coil was the culprit. Left the new one in but did not do anything to "tune" it or adjust. I could easily just pull the new carb and re-install the old OEM.

Make sure your throttle cable is adjusted properly. Remove the seat and the cover on the black box. Turn key off.

Pedal should operate as follows… press pedal down about 1” and the microswitches inside the black box should click. After pressing the pedal down another 1/2” the carb butterfly should start to move.

If the carb moves before or when the microswitches click, you will have no low speed and it will be choppy. You can adjust this with the 10mm but at the cable coming out of the black box.

If that’s good, then disconnect the cable going from the governor in the rear axle to the carb. Slide the cable by hand, it should move freely with no resistance. If it hangs up at all replace it. This cable binding can cause erratic throttle operation as well. Make sure it routes under the starter/gen between the starter and it’s mounting bracket. If it routes around the outside of it they have a tendency to get claustrophobic with the muffler, melt, and bind.
