Oh btw, i jumped the forward solenoid w/ a screw driver and tuned the key to forward and depressed the peddle and the solenoid did slightly click? I'm not sure what this means.

I forget but try pulling the voltage regulator, on a G9 if it goes bad it does something strange like that.

Thanks for all the help everyone, the g1 is running great we gps'ed it @ 19 mph. I think the problem may have been a poor connection with the red/white wire. Maybe a couple of other bad connections. My advice to anyone that is having simalar issues is to just check the wiring for corrosion and bad connections.
