Default high speed motor

If i get the puple high speed motor for my 05 precedent to gain more speed will it make a difference what speed it is set on right now. My guess its set on 2. will It need to be set on 4 to get the most out of the motor or makes no difference.

I would bump it up to speed code 3 for better results, thats a non pay setting, but you have to have a dealer set it up for you. When we do this at our shop we don't charge for that.......... it takes just a couple min. to do...........other shops might charge you to do this.

Robby, can these controllers be shipped out, set, and shipped back to the customer reliably?

Yes, but to set them they would have to be installed on a cart and then removed and sent back...........just more labor to do it that way

Any shop that charges a customer for doing a minor setting change like that I would avoid like the plague as they are just being greedy. The customer doesn't even have to pull the cart off the trailer and the amount of time to do the setting is less than the time it takes to smoke a cigarette.

You can always contact a CC dealer ahead of time and ask if they charge for that service... it's real easy to do if you have a programmer. My buddy had it done for free at his CC dealer where he purchased his cart from.

I agree completely. I often smoke a cigarette while I perform this procedure!

You need to quit...

Purchase a book called QUIT on Amazon and read it... takes less than 2 hours to read the whole book since the book is the size of a pack of unfiltered Marlboro's!!! When you quit after reading the book you can thank me the next day.

Scuba<--- smoked 2 1/2 to 3 packs of Kools a day for 34 years and would walk through 12+ inches of snow to get a pack of cigarettes over food... (trust me I had it bad)... read the book and never smoked again.
