Default rear gear fluid leakin

was drivin down a trail and thought i had the clearance but i didnt and nailed the rear on a rock,now it is leakin rear gear fluid..my question is can i put a decreaser on it to clean to see if i cracked the rear,,also how do i remove it from the motor..and pics on this??..thnx im a newbie also

Yes any type of cleaner can be used on differential case to clean. I assume you have a Club Car electric cart? What year, model, battery pack voltage etc to help the forum help you faster, and show you pictures of assembly. If the housing in center is cracked it would be best to replace complete unit with a used assembly as otherwise they pretty much last forever? If only axle tubes are damaged I would replace it with new assembly. What is leaking out would be either 30 weight motor oil or 80-90 gear oil depending on year and model.
