Re: 80 MPH Electric Club Car
Not saying can't be done, very large high speed motor, huge controler, high speed gears and enough batteries to get there before drained. So not going to be cheep. Then again large A/C motor and a long extention cord.

Re: 80 MPH Electric Club Car
Actually I normally drive it at around 75 mph... but have had it up past the 80 mph mark on occation... It's a diesel pusher that weighs in around 30,000 lbs... very stable!

Re: 80 MPH Electric Club Car
My Yamaha in my avatar was born an electric cart, it's been 115MPH under it's own power, Butttt it's not an electric anymore. There are A FEW guys racing that have spent a TON of money on electric carts, 80+ MPH costs $$$$$$$

Re: 80 MPH Electric Club Car
He showed me a high tork motor in a catalog and said with it, gears and beefing up the eletric system it would do it... BUT! he wont build one that goes over 24 mph but will sell me what I need.
Then he told me that by putting my 23" wheels and lift kit on my cart it wouldnt gain 4 mph. I told him that was on a gps and he said something is wrong with my gps... He owns a reputable shop in my area and want to deal with him, but I pretty much see hes a BS artist.. |

Re: 80 MPH Electric Club Car
Right there he showed how little he knows by showing you a "HIGH TORQUE MOTOR" which are built for POWER ( hill climbing etc ) rather than a HIGH SPEED ( HIGH RPM'S ) top end speed. In my opinion he is hurting his buisness rather than promoting it?
