But Thanks shadow....I refilled each batt, set it in a 2 amp charge and they all charged enough that my 48 volt charger came on and finished charging the system. Thanks to everyone that helped. Bless you guys. |

Re: 01 charger problem
Glad you got it charging. FYI:
Walmart does not sell Golf Cart Batteries...... the batteries used in golf carts are deep discharge batteries unlike & unmatched by those 'cranking' or even so called 'marine' batteries......... those types will not hold up in the golf carts. The batteries in your cart sell for about $150 each |

Sorry, I quoted 12v Trojan GC batteries. But yes, 8v cost a little more than 6v and typically have a shorter service life due to a smaller amperage capacity, which equals more frequent charge cycles. Which brings us back to the cranking & marine batteries = same scenario ...... Hope this helps |

Re: 01 charger problem
Ok here's the deal. I serviced the batts with distilled water and charged them individually to get them to 36 volts because my charger would not come on until then. Well after I got it to 36 volt, charger came on and charged to 48 volts. But now my system is showing on 46 volts and the charger will not come on. I can see a definate reduction in power especially pulling up hills. I have some battery acid fresh still in the box. Do I need to look for a dead cell and replace the water with the acid? I don't feel comfortable going on a cruise with my son and have this thing die on me. Why will the charger not come on? Any help would be appreciated....thanx guys.
