Default Endurance Problem.

Hi, I am new to carts and BGW. I have a 1996 48V electric club car. I was told it has a high output motor on it. My problem is that after I charge it for 12 hours it still shows 3.5 amps of charge going to it but never goes down any more. I test the voltage and it shows 51.6 volts 3 hours after I unplug it. Now the problem. I go to the course and it barely makes 18 holes if I baby it the whole way. When I put it on the charger it begins charging 15 amps and works down to 3.5.

Sounds like your batteries are starting to fail. You need to check them with a hydrometer and a load tester.I think you will find that you have a bad one in the pack.

Bought a hydrometer and all cells are 1.3 except 2 and they are 1.27 . Everything in green. Cart had been sitting over a year. Two year old Trojans. Could it get better after a few cycles or is that as good as it will get?

no it should be better than that, load test the batts theres a reason the charger isn,t shutting off........a good fully charged pack may read it the high 50,s ........also check your cables make sure they are clean and tight give each one a pull and a twist....................................
