Charger Not Working - CC 2007
Hey All - Just noticed today that my charger isn't working. I'll plug it in, it will try to charge and then the reset switch will pop off. This just started happening I would guess in the past week or so.
I checked the batteries and get 12.33, 12.32, 12.25 and 12.17 all the way around (it's a 48v cart, 2007 batteries). Any thoughts or tricks I can try? I'm having a tough time telling if it's my charger or the cart. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Cheers Ryan Cassidy |

I've also tried this... (reseting the OBC) http://www.buggiesgonewild.com/elect...er-system.html to no luck either. The Back Up sound never comes on during the procedure. Not sure if that helps in trying to figure it this out, but I'm kind of stumped. All electrical connections are good and solid.

Comments before going to problem, last battery reading of 12.17 is showing a battery going bad OR poor connections?
Contact Lester Electric Web Site and have model and serial numbers off charger to get correct info on their site. I'm guessing but sounds like diode is shot but check for yourself. |

Bad charger diode.... no doubt about it... Is this a PowerDrive2 charger or a PowerDrive3?

Re: Charger Not Working - CC 2007
Cool.. Charger Diode - It's a Powerdrive 2 charger
David - I'll be calling you today to order the parts so I can fix it. The Batteries are 2007 batteries, and well, they are the 12v ones so not really notorious for long life. Once I get the charger back in order I'll double check the voltages then. I'm sure I'll need new batteries in the next year or two that's for sure. Thanks again all Ryan |
