Default Changing from 6 ga to 4 ga battery cables

Greetings every one. I am a little confused about upgrading my battery cables from the standard 6 ga to 4 ga. I have read in these forums that in order to get the most from your batteries upgrading the cables is a good way to start.
I have a '98 36 volt resistor cart. I use the cart for golf only. The course is slightly hilly. On the flat the cart is fine, but on the hills it is very slow. In checking one of the site sponsors I saw where cable kits for 48 volt set ups have numerous cables. The set up for my type of cart had only 5 cables in the kit. Is that all that I would need? Thanks for your help.

You will need all the cables. Battery, motor, controller etc.. They sell a kit with all of them. Someone will be along shortly to point you in the right direction

Changing the cables on just the batteries is a good place to start, and will make a difference, but to do the best, you need to change all of the cables.

You MUST REPLACE "ALL" 6 GAUGE CABLES WITH 4 GAUGE to have it make any difference. If you dont its just like trying to get water through a hose when it has a kink?

Does this include the cables that run to and from the resistor coils and the v-glide or what ever that part is that connects to the resistors?

YES ALL 6 GAUGE CABLES MUST BE REPLACED WITH 4 GAUGE. If you dont replace ALL CABLES YOU WONT GAIN MUCH OF ANYTHING.
