Recommended upgrades for 02 DS IQ

I have an 48 volt '02 DS IQ. I want to lift it and put on larger tires. I am in an area with hills, it has a good amount of torque/speed as is, but it is stock. I plan on using it for hunting. Will I have to replace everything as I did with my Series EZGO, or can I get by with less upgrades?

Have you checked to see what your controller is set for and if on stock setting I would go to #4, but this will require going to a CC dealer to have done? Cost seems to differ by area so check at nearby dealer for price etc FIRST? By lifting and adding larger tires you will loose torque and some speed over your stock cart for hill climbing and low speed performance? If the controller update isnt enough I would look to our sponsors sites for a possible motor upgrade, and of course cable update ALWAYS.
