Troubles with an 06 CC Precedent
Working on a cart and having a problem chasing down the problem. This is the newest cart for me to work on as of yet.
Heres the problem....... When the accelerator is pressed the solenoid engages and then disengages there after. Have changed the solenoid and controller but the same thing is happening. Any suggestions will be greatly Appreciated........ Sorry, its a 48 volt cart. |

Re: Troubles with an 06 CC Precedent
When solenoid engages does it imediately drop out as this is one sign of bad battery connections? Check and clean all battery connections and also check batterys for voltage and specific gravity and compare with STICKIES titled "STATE OF CHARGE READINGS" and post results. If it stays in for part of pedal movement I would checked the MCOR for resistance through range from pedal up to pedal down? You should have 5-0 OHMS reading, 5 as pedal just staring down to 0 pedal to floor.

Re: Troubles with an 06 CC Precedent
I agree with OLD MEC... it sounds like the solenoid is dropping out because it's not getting enough voltage.

Re: Troubles with an 06 CC Precedent
Yes it's fully understandable.... It doesn't happen often, but I've seen it before... The micro switch was intermittent... That's why it would work sometimes, but sometimes it wouldn't... Glad you got it resolved.

Re: Troubles with an 06 CC Precedent
I have 5 MCOR new take off units that had same problem ( Micro inside wouldnt make contact ) when off you can hear slight click but wont work for some reason? I would like to find a bad MCOR that I could play with to maybe find a way to replace micro and seal back up? Anyone willing to donate one as I would be happy to pay shipping as I dont want to ruin the otherwise good units? Local shop says all take off MCOR units go back to factory, which I cant believe? Maybe they found a way to repair?
