Re: Cable Problems.
Looks like you have a gen 2 car.If it is 2 of those cables go to the controller and then to the motor you know with the small eyes on them.

Yes, that is a wirenut. I'm surprised it isn't melted into a blob. Then again, from the looks of that setup he wasn't pulling any real amps anyway!

Re: Cable Problems.
Yea, that is a wire-nut, there were actually two of them. Did not think spliced cables were a problem until I started reading about lack of power.
Here is what I got done yesterday. Today I will finish the last cable and clean the cart up some. With my luck, it probably won't run though. |

Batteries are reading ~10v each. ~61v together. Cart had been charged two days ago (night before doing this project). As soon as the cart was finished and switched to run, the light came on. Drove it 10 minutes then tried charging it. |

Re: Cable Problems.
cables look great!
61v is very high for 2 days of sitting + 10 minutes of driving! do you have access to another multimeter? is the battery fresh in the meter? it will take some more driving around before the voltage gets low enough to trigger the charger. |
