Default OK battery Gurus

Here is the scoop. My 84 is still holding a charge after 3 monthes. We took it on a little trip today of about 1 mile and I am noticing no loss in power.

Now I told my son about how I am still kinda unsure of the batteries(3 monthes ago), and since I feel better, and he bought me this stuff for Christmas to try before my little trip,

Since I am having no problem that I can see with them, should I just not use it and top off my batts with Water? I need to now they are down a bit. Or just chuck the stuff?

I feel confident inthe batts now and have never seen or heard of this stuff and just dont know if it will cause any damage. Do you know anything about the stuff? Plus the lead plates look really good to me. No corrosion or white floaty crap.

All input is welcome, and mods If I broke any rules by posting a link of a non sponcer please remove it and accept my appology for a breach in ettiquite.

How old or your batteries. The date is stamped on the post. If they are 5 years old I personally do not see you have any thing to loss by trying the Snake Oil.

If your batteries are working fine I would top off with distiller water and leave well enough alone. If your batteries were not holding a charge and you could not afford new batteries then sure, you have nothing to lose. My opinion would be to not risk damaging working batteries.

This appears to just be epsom salt & instructions. I'd seriously NOT put this in working batteries.

Post the instructions , just for grins and we may be able to confirm if it is epsom salt.

But that being said , if it ain't broke don't fix it !

Actually the instructions are just what is printed on the page at amazon. The only addition is that you mix one bag(it has 6 in ziplock)with hot water and desolve. This morning I actually had looked into the cabinet and found Epsom salt left from my wifes father and ya it is the same stuff. It is actually funny how this almost got me.

The reason I asked about it is that you have tp pour out 1/3 of the water in your battery to add the stuff. and that just freeked me out.

sounds like you have already made a good decision and I will agree with the others...don't add it and just keep them charged properly, keep your water levels up and your cables tight

there are plenty of threads (use the search feature) from the past and I don't think I have seen any one have long term luck with the "instant new batteries in a bag".
