Default what could it be?

Im trying to help out a friend with a golf cart issue... it has all 6 new batteries and charged up. however the golf cart only works sometimes....when you press the accelerator the solenoid clicks but it will only start moving if you play with the pedal for it to move, sometimes it will do nothing and at all of a sudden it will take off....it seems almost like a loose wire somewhere but i have checked all wires. could it be the speed controller?

im not too sure on the brand or model... it does have 6x 6 volt batteries so im guessing 36 volts and it has had the speed controller replaced once already, which looks almost identical to this one in the link, with the same led, key on, throttle one, throttle two, and half speed terminals on the top.

What year and model is the cart?
Sounds like the throttle potentiometer going bad or loose connection to it.

are you talking about the switch by the pedal?
