Crown 1st Trojan 2nd But seriously proper care and use makes more of a difference in the useful life of a battery pack than the brand name.

P.S.
Size really does matter. Get the largest AH battery you can find to fit the footprint. Use and Charge according to what you read here on this BGW site and you will get the best performance and most use out of your battery dollar. Scottyb

Hee, he. Now, that is an educated consumer Sams batteries probably made by johnson controls or some other major maker....

Bang for your buck, you can't beat the Sam's Club 8v batteries at $78 each. Same specs as Trojan T-860's and more than adequate for running around.
I just put a set in mine 10/2010 and after sitting for a week and 18 holes of golf they were at 50.3v, just under 90% charge.
I can't speak to the longevity of these yet but the 6x6v 02/2002 Sam's Club batteries I have in my boat are still testing good, maintenance is the key.
That being said, if I had my choice without price as a consideration in order it would be US Battery, Crown, Trojan, Interstate, Exide, Sam's.

Have you used 4/12's before? In the RV world they are seldom preferred to 6's and there is a post some cart makers had battery life issues when using 12v's.

12v batteries are a normal configuration for the CC Precedent carts from 2004 to 2009 and now the new Ezgo RXV has gone to 12v batteries. Without serious mods using anything else is a no fit situation.
