Looking for some advice on a motor upgrade.

Scotch front of cart.
Jack rear up and place jack stands under Axel.

remove last -Neg battery cable

Get 2 wrenches and remove and label 4 electrical cables.
(do not let the bolt spin )
Remove mounting bolts , slide motor out.

slide new motor in, and fasten to cart
Use 2 wrenches and connect all 4 electrical cables back

Place last -Neg back to battery pack.



Box up old motor and send to PQ for credit.

One major thing Gleemo forgot is that many motor replacements require a minimum 3" lift in order to install, because of the additional size of the motor. Then, when you are replacing the motor, removal of the right rear shock and shock mount is necessary to slide motor shaft in straight into rear diff gear. Just did a complete upgrade on my 97 CC DS series.

I just purchased and installed a Flight Systems 500A controller from PlumQuick to my CC Precedent and it made a big difference. It will now snap your head back and it tops out at 24mph with the stock motor. I am fixing to do their bandit upgrade to try to make the ride even more enjoyable.

I beg to differ , I am on my second a 98 and a 99 and the motors matched perfect,
no lift ...etc. What year was U'r cart ?
I used the Bandit on both which motor did U choose ?

I wrote that it was necessary on "many motor replacements". I didn't want him thinking motor replacement would be that easy on all motors. Sorry.
