Most of the time not all of the time if a cart has been working fine and then it just stops it's a connection problem. Tug on all the cables and see which one it maybe!

When batterys and cables have been found OK, next step would be to check main solenoid ( the one that feeds the rest through a flat bar on one side of large posts ) that should be on drivers side of resistor bank. Solenoids can click but not make internal contact.

Solenoid internal points burn out is common on older models like yours and now with low quality chinese stuff its even worse. Many owners either change to solid state or replace all solenoids when first one goes.

That is the same thing scottyb told me about my carouche. So it is unanimous from the experts. time to order some solenoids. there are 5 of them correct?

Yes I think after about 1974-75 they went to 5 solenoids. All solenoids should be in a row on resistor board need replacing as I dont know of any others on your classic Caroche cart?
