Re: 2006 Precident motor breaking
Well the pulse thing, im working on to make a two speed motor. I program microprocessors. I am making a divide by 2 setup so the pulses from the motor will be divided by two thus the controller will keep giving the motor more. Guess when the kids drive it the switch under the seat will be in low speed and when the neighbors pull up next to me I can switch to turbo and they can kiss my.
The motor brake thing was another Idea, but I need brake going down my driveway then its flat driving so I was going to put another switch for that. Guess I could have it turned off and mount a switch to a relay with a resistor across the motor leads and make my own break maybe a run resistor from an old buggie. I have only had this thing for 2 days have had it on jack stands all day today measuring pulses 3.2khz = 12 mph I would guess step 3 on the controller. also had the scope on it and its dirty I would have of thought they used a hall effect sensor which would give a nice clean DC pulse but no they used a magnetic position sensor so its an AC pulse. anybody know what the RPM range of a stock motor is? have noticed that the hot motors get around the controller issue by not pulsing as much as the stock motor ? Im also looking at the brain and wondering if it could be removed and manually control the wires to the controller by pulling them high or low ? |
