Spring cleaning on our new to us cart. "pics"
Worked all day yesterday on the cart. It's not perfect, but it looks better than what it did. Scraped the battery box forever and still had a few spots I didn't like, but the rust is off of it and it's repainted. Batteries and cables all cleaned off. 12V battery installed. Neon and switch installed. All wire covered. Rear step painted. Even sealed the wood on the trailer I pull it with, with some Thompsons. Now I have to clean the cart up, paint a few more pieces, and she should be ready to go camping with us.

Yes I did. Did it right before I put the batteries back in. There wasn't much corrosion, but last night when I got it put back together and went for a ride you could tell a difference on take off. Threw your head back a little. Top end still seemed the same, but didn't expect anything different in terms of performance.

yeah i have noticed that keeping the terminals all the way around clean will make a difference in torque. not so much in the speed dept like you said.

Looks good! Don't forget to flip tow switch when servicing or replacing batteries!

Today is paint shop and detail day.
Man we need a garage. Used the dining room for a paint shop one time. Had plastic on the ceiling, walls, and floor. Can't believe the wife let me do it. Didn't get a drop on anything not intended to. |
