Help...Confusion on Drive Names
I'm thinking about buying a 2007 Drive. When doing my research it seems like the Drive has an identity crisis. Some people call it the "Drive" others call it the "YDRA". Is it also called the "G27" (I'm just assuming the "7" being associated with the year model? So what should I be looking for if I'm trying to research a 2007 Drive (gas)???

Yamaha seems to prefer the name Drive. It is also YDRA (gas) or YDRE (electric). Both gas and electric are also known as G29 models. If I am not mistaken, a G27 is a Umax utility vehicle.

YDRA/E is the official model designation(A-gas,E-electric),its model name is G29,or Drive.

Do not buy parts for a G27 (UMAX) and expect them to fit your Drive, they wont fit. "The Drive", "YDRx" (A=gas E=electric), and "G-29" are all names used in yamaha's literature.

Drive seemed like the marketing name for it, when it came out they touted how it was all new design ground up and called it the Drive. Suppose now its the current model and no longer all new lol.
