Default Wheel Spacers?

A guy near me has these wheel spacers, willing to sell to me for $25. He says they are too wide for his cart, I am thinking they are too wide for mine too, I just want to widen the back axle up to match the front, I am thinking i need 2" max on each side, he says these are about 4" each. Should I buy them anyway and just try to resale them if they are too wide? is 4" too wide for spacers period?

The wider you go, the more strain on the hubs. I am running 2" spacers on 18" diameter street tires. No issues yet, but one hub requires tightening each year, so it won't be long before it needs replacing.

I agree, anything over 2" will put a def strain on the drive train. I don't think I've seen anything over 3"????

Buy 'em and sell 'em. I think the 3" spacers cost about $90.00. a set. I got 2" and paid about that. Just a thought....

The hub splines on these carts are weak point, even offset wheels will put a strain on the hub.
