Re: Converting cart to PDS
No - It is a great cart with the cables, solenoid and controller upgrade. It's a BETTER cart than a series AFTER the upgrades. You will just have a larger cost to build a PDS than you would building a series. Once done - it a great cart. I have one we built a customer this weekend at my shop right now (PDS lifted)

Re: Converting cart to PDS
This is the first I have heard of a solenoid change also, is this a rquirement? I have only heard of controller and cable upgrades in the past on a PDS cart.

Re: Converting cart to PDS
After the above upgrade of controller and cables I understand the PDS cart will be faster(which would be nice) but is there a big difference in torque between the series and PDS cart for hill climbing?

Re: Converting cart to PDS
Solenoid change is required for higher amp installations. You can leave the stock one in there, but it will fail sooner than it should.

Re: Converting cart to PDS
here is the bottom line, I am about to purchase a lifted 07 PDS cart with 22" tires with a upgrade of a 400amp alltrax and 4 gauge wiring, will this be a good cart for the hunting camp with moderate hills or should I keep looking for a series cart that is lifted with 22" tires for the added torque???

Re: Converting cart to PDS
Torque is more important in my application (hunting camp hill climbing) but speed is always nice too. Is the torque comparable between the PDS and Series cart if the PDS cart has a 400 amp controller and 4 gauge wiring with the added benefit of increased speed. Small or very noticeable difference in torque between the two??
