Default speaker problems!

I put in a cd player and now when i start to move the speackers cut out. At a stop or flat to the floor the cd player works fine. Its just when i take off.

your battery pack is weak ..... no point to look futher just install a converter and be done with the problem.... this is going to happen with any battery pack that you mid tap off of ..nature of the beast

Your motor is pulling peak current at takeoff reducing the amount available for your accessories (your radio/CD player).

Supply your player by it's own 12V source. Less problems all the way around. IMHO!

You are experiencing the effect known as voltage drop. If you had a volt meter hooked up to your battery pack ( or even just your 2 batteries that you are getting your 12volts from) you would see that when you are moving, the motor is using so much power that your voltage is dropping below the minimum for your car stereo to operate(10v min for most). If you had a dedicated source of continuous 12volts (either a separate battery or a voltage converter) you would not see this problem. Also, this is a precusor to your cart needing new batteries, if your voltage is dropping too low to operate accessories, then the batteries can't keep up with the current draw and will be needing replacement soon.
