Rear Axle Oil
How often should you change the rearend oil? I see the drain plug on the lower right part of the case but, where do you add the oil and how much? My cart is a 96' medalist series cart with stock rearend.

Re: Rear Axle Oil
The manual states I believe every 5 years, but I think it should be done more often than that. It calls for 10w30, but others have used heavier oils, and have gone to synthetic.

Re: Rear Axle Oil
Where do you put the oil in? Is the drain plug also used as the fill hole?

Re: Rear Axle Oil
Yes, it is . I usually squirt oil in until it comes running out..... the only car you can't do that to that I am aware of is the newer RXV because it uses more oil than the pan can hold ....... you have to physically pull the rearend and flip it over to add oil to the RXV (or use the small "breather" but that can take forever to fill 25 oz of oil through.....)
