The little 'chips' are a factory deal that work with the stock controller only. The 400DCX, Solenoid Kit, and PDS cable set get the carts to 24mph but, you loose all regenerative braking and roll away protection.

Okay. If I buy the DCX400, other than basic installation, what else do I have to do?

There are no "chips" for an Alltrax controller. You won't need one.....

Upgrade the solenoid to handle 400 AMPS, Upgrade the wiring to a minimum of 4 gauge, adjust your brakes for maximum stopping power, buy toothpaste to clean the bugs out of your teeth........

I have a PDS PQ bandit with a DCX400 on 22in tires running 30+mph so.... Talk with the folk at PQ, they will hook you up.
