Purchased my 1st Ez go Thursday
Been trolling this site for a couple of weeks and decided to bite the bullet and get me a Cart. Picked up my ez go from Mikes Motor Toys, great guy and he helped me with my decision to go with a series cart.
Looking to add Lights and Stereo asap. Does the reverse horn have to be so loud, and can I just disconnect the darn thing? Seems to be a lot of great helpful peeps in here. Look forward to posting pics of the Upgrades. |

Re: Purchased my 1st Ez go Thursday
I would not recommend that just as a safety concern, but you may if you wish. You could also take a ear protection and insert it in there, that will help lower the volume.

Lakesnake, Welcome to BGW!
You did well in choosing MMT for your purchase. Mike's shop actually goes over every cart they sell, and when I say "goes over" I mean they tear them down and actually SERVICE them completely, not just a pressure wash. As for your reverse alarm, it can be easily subdued. It is an important safety feature on any sparky cart since they are soooooo quiet to begin with. We can show you how to quiet it down if you like. |

Thanks for all the warm welcomes.
Todo thanks for the Link. Gornoman, I'd like some insight on how to subdue the blarring beep. I do have 2 little ones around and would like to keep it hooked up so they know when to scoot out of the way. |

the reverse alarm not only alerts others that you are backing up, it also reminds you that you are in reverse. there have been reports where the driver assumes he's in drive, hits the pedal and backwards he goes. i just put cotton balls in my alarm and covered it with duct tape this weekend. can still hear it but it's faint.
